Figural Tea Strainer Underplate Set Hong Ky 900 Silver Vietnam
Vintage Vietnamese 900 standard silver tea strainer with an underplate. Underplate features small round dish with a pedestal base, decorated with landscape views of a village and temple among trees. Base has an applied native male figure on the side, holding a stem with a tea strainer basket hanging on the end. Made by Hong Ky.
Weighing 62.3 grams or 2 ozs Troy, this amazing combination measures: strainer is 1 3/4" in diameter and 1 1/8" tall (without the wire handles); underplate is 1 1/4" in diameter and 1" tall (with the base), base is 2 1/8" in diameter; figure is 2 1/2" tall. Total length is 4" and height - 3 3/8".
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
